Ramadhan Thoughts - The Supplication of the Opening - Part 2
This is a short series of discussions on the Holy month of Ramadhan, specifically discussing the Supplication of the Opening (Dua al-Iftitah).
In His Name, the Most High
Dedication
This series of posts is dedicated to the heroic children and wider population of both Gaza and Palestine; we pray to God, the Most Sublime that he increases their strength and patience and removes the despots that are committing a genocide against them; and all who support said genocide - in both the East and the West, the North and the South.
We also dedicate this post to the children of Donbass, who have been under the terrorism of NATO and its Ukrainian Nazi vassal, and who are now with the support of Mother Russia and of course the boundless support of God, liberating themselves from their Bandarite oppressors.
We pray that God give strength all these children, to all the righteous ones in Palestine and the Donbass (and indeed elsewhere), that He protect them, that He destroy their enemies and their partners in crime, and hasten a new dawn where peace and justice reign supreme and the hypocrites and despots plaguing humanity are destroyed and rendered as cautionary tales in the books of history.
Amen
Introduction
This post continues from the previous post, discussing the Supplication of the Opening.
While these posts can each be read in isolation, as I have attempted to ensure that appropriate context is provided, the introduction found in the previous post is an important primer, therefore, I would strongly recommend the reader to read that, before continuing with the remainder of this post.
In the previous post, we covered the very first stanza, which provided us with an important insight and understanding into the subject of supplication, of what worship is, and how it is a dialogue between the subject (in this case us), and God, the Mighty, the Wise. In this post, we will be covering Stanza’s number 14 to 15 out of a supplication which has 30 stanzas in total.
As per the methodology that I have used previously; we will first see the stanzas in question in Arabic, and then I will provide my translations in English. Following the basic translation, we will delve into these four important and indeed profound stanzas in order to garner some wisdom, some insight; and build a route for us to develop a greater and more profound and meaningful relationship with God.
Stanzas #14 to 15
English:
All praise be to God whose screen (barrier) cannot be breached (penetrated, broken through),
Whose door is not locked (blocked),
Who never rejects the asker (beseecher),
And who never disappoints the one who places his hope in Him.All praise belongs to God, who believes in (is the supporter of) the fearful,
(Who) comes to the aid of the righteous,
(Who) promotes (raises and supports) the oppressed,
(Who) annihilates the arrogant (false/unjust leaders, kings, tyrants),
(Who) destroys (unjust/tyrannical/despotic) rulers,
and replaces them with others.
Just reading these two stanzas from around the middle of the supplication; we can see there is a great deal to unpack and discuss.
From one perspective, one might look at this as being a highly political and revolutionary series of stanzas; but this would be limiting these lines immensely.
One might also suggest that these appear to be somewhat contradictory, after all how can someone who’s screen or barrier cannot be breached, also be such that His door is never unlocked?
Surely a door is a type of barrier - or ‘حِجَابُ’ - that is the word used in the Arabic, and on the one hand we are being told that His barrier cannot be breached; but that His door is always unlocked and is never locked.
This requires some reflection; because in reality both lines rather than being contradictory; are actually complementary.
How can a door that is unlocked be an impenetrable barrier?
A door that is unlocked; necessarily, cannot be called impenetrable; since it is unlocked and therefore, can simply be opened and walked through.
However, that is the case, when there is a lack of decency, when there is a lack of morality; when there is a lack of respect from the side of the one entering (forcing should we say) the door, and the one who has declared that said door or screen or barrier is impenetrable.
In all cultures where morality is applied; and by morality I mean the proverbial ‘milk of human kindness’ and the respect that people have for each other and each others possessions and such; when a person wishes to ask another person something; when they visit them; they do not simply barge through the door of the one they are visiting.
Rather, the visitor will politely knock; and when permitted to enter; they will enter, respectfully and with dignity and grace. This is the humane and decent position.
Of course, sadly, in recent times, we see a people who do not respect such basic rights and norms of human decency; and instead break down doors, kidnap the inhabitants there, or visit harm upon them; and such people are from the oppressors.
In Islamic thought; even when entering your own house, after you have been - for example - for a walk; it is strongly recommended by the teachers of a subject known as ‘Akhlaq’ (Islamic Ethics), that a person enters their own home with respect and dignity; and indeed after greeting the inhabitants of the home - even if the house is known to be empty.
There is a deeper, metaphysical reason for this; which if we delve into here; will render this post extremely long, and requiring a great deal of background; so I will omit that for now (perhaps if there is a need, we can discuss that subject in significantly more detail at a later stage).
More so, we will - as we proceed through these stanzas - understand that while the door to mercy, the door to God, is always open; it is not without conditions.
Not conditions that are designed to repel people; rather conditions that require people to be humble, to understand their reality, their position; to understand that they are - no matter their societal, economic, cultural or any other type of position - they are subjects, slaves (for want of a better word), servants of God; and should behave accordingly.
As God as said, categorically in Quran:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ
O people! We created you from a male and a female, and made you races and tribes, that you may know one another. The best among you in the sight of God is the most righteous. God is All-Knowing, Well-Experienced.
The only distinction between people, between humans, is that of their level of awareness of God, something that is not visible openly; but is only visible to God.
Therefore; the point being made here by God, is that while He has chosen in His infinite wisdom to create us into differing nations and tribes, in different colours and complexions, in different cultures and such; these should not be understood as creating a situation where one culture, or people, or society, or race, or nation, etc is superior to another.
This explicitly breaks apart the idea of racism, where one race is deemed superior (or inferior) based on simply being from said race against all others.
Such racism, is in fact a form of polytheism, and was one of the key crimes of Iblis, who due to said crime, was made from the ones rejected by God, and named Satan:
We created you, then We shaped you, then We said to the angels, “Bow down before Adam;” so they bowed down, except for Satan; he was not of those who bowed down.
He said, “What prevented you from bowing down when I have commanded you?” He said, “I am better than he; You created me from fire, and You created him from mud.”
He said, “Get down from it! It is not for you to act arrogantly in it. Get out! You are one of the lowly!”
He said, “Give me respite, until the Day they are resurrected.”
He said, “You are of those given respite.”
He said, “Because you have lured me, I will waylay them on Your straight path.
Then I will come at them from before them, and from behind them, and from their right, and from their left; and you will not find most of them appreciative.”
He said, “Get out of it, despised and vanquished. Whoever among them follows you—I will fill up Hell with you all.
In this amazing dialog between God and Satan (formally Iblis), we can see clearly that Satan refused to honour and obey the command of God to bow down towards Adam.
This is important, because while the specific command is for Satan (and all the Angels and Jinn, and the inhabitants of the heavens) is for them to bow down to Adam, the understanding that should be taken away is not that Adam is greater or lesser than any of them; rather, that God has asked them to do this - the act of bowing towards Adam - and it is only in obedience to God that they bow; not because they somehow declare that we are lesser than Adam.
The person of Adam in this understanding is almost irrelevant; since the reason for Satan being rejected, being cast from heaven was explicitly the fact that he refused to bow towards Adam; indeed, one might even argue that he considered it a means of being ‘holier than the proverbial pope’ (as the euphemism goes).
But in his arrogance; he forgot that while the directing of prostration was towards Adam, the One asking all to bow towards Adam was the Lord of Adam, the Lord of the Universes; and therefore, the bowing was less about showing respect to Adam, and more about obedience to the command of God; regardless of how it might feel on a ‘personal’ level.
This is a direct attack on the subject of racial superiority, of arrogance and indeed of deeming the instructions of God as selective; and not equally applicable to all.
So, Satan, due to his arrogance, his superiority complex, was cast out from the presence of God; however, as we yield back to the stanzas of the supplication we are discussing, we can see that the first two lines; where we declare, that God’s barrier cannot be breached; but that His door is always open; start to become clearer.
The barrier, separating God and us; which, agreed, cannot be breached - can, however, be entered into. One can enter into the presence of God directly (though that is a far more deeper and metaphysical and spiritual discussion that I am unable to delve into at this time), and indeed one can experience the manifestation of God’s presence directly; in a manner of speaking enter His proverbial door; this is only for those, who choose to retain their humility; to ensure they abide by the instructions that God has decreed, who work towards building their relationship towards God; who indeed befriend and fall in love with God, at varying levels, naturally.
It is, however, important to understand that everyone does have the potential to attain such a level, but like with everything worth attaining; this requires great effort, reflection, honesty, humility, self awareness and such.
But it can be attained, to suggest it cannot, or that somehow it is ‘beyond us lowly humans’ is to render God’s promise a lie, to render God fundamentally unjust, which would - since these are key attributes of God - negate the existence of God, since the mere notion of God breaking His promise; or not living up to His word, or speaking something that He knows cannot come to pass, is an impossible notion.
Again, these are points that themselves require multiple posts; and are core discussions on God Himself and who is God; and much as I would love to delve into them here, it is both outside the scope of this post; but also would render this post significantly longer than it already has become; therefore; we can leave this discussion on God, a deep and profound discussion, for another time, and perhaps from those who are far more learned on this subject.
God, also - as we continue the stanzas above - never rejects the questions of one who asks, who beseeches; and the word beseech is an interesting word. Again, the Free Dictionary defines the word beseech thusly:
pray, petition, beg eagerly for; implore urgently: I beseech you to forgive me.
The Free Dictionary
The inference by this meaning is that God doesn’t ignore or reject the one who asks Him, or begs Him urgently; but this is not enough; even if a person asks God without begging, without great urgency; and almost as a friend asking a friend, then God will always answer; he will never reject the questioner.
In the Arabic, the word used is ‘سَائِلُهُ’, this literally means the one who questions Him, or ‘asks from Him’; and he explicitly states that He will not and does not reject said person - ‘وَلاَ يُرَدُّ سَائِلُهُ’.
This means, that God will always answer the question; indeed; in the dialogue between God and Satan from the Quran, Surah al-A’raf above, we can see that even after Satan’s great disobedience towards God’s instruction; God continued to engage in dialogue with Him; He didn’t stop talking to him.
And this is a very important point; one that has implications within the human condition; and one we must learn from, I will go attempt to delve deeper to that at a later stage, as it has a bearing on the discussion.
The next line, is that God doesn’t dash the hope of one who has placed his hope in God. He never disappoints, if someone has placed His hope in God; then God will never break their heart.
Someone might, at this juncture suggest that, well, such and such person placed their hope in God, for example, the little child in Gaza, who starved to death, or was bombed to death by the Zionist terrorists and their supporters; but who had placed his hope in God, therefore, God did dash that child’s hopes. Didn’t He?
Well, when looking at it without understanding, and from an extremely superficial manner, yes one might be able to say that. However, since God is the master of that which is unseen; and when delving into the matters of justice, of causality, of consequence, indeed, of crime and punishment; the discussion that is required to understand this becomes significantly more nuanced and deeper.
Consider, the child is being killed by the actions of humans; these are actions that God is not performing; yes, He is aware of them, but they go explicitly against the instructions that He has set out for humanity; and indeed those committing said actions of genocide are from those who arrogantly - like Satan - declare they are ‘better’ since they profess - and act in a manner - where they have convinced themselves that somehow they are ‘God’s chosen people’.
When a people completely dehumanise another, when they lose any empathy with others; and indeed revel in the misfortunes of others; this is a monumental disaster and a great affliction, that will never end well for those afflicted by such, who refuse to - in their arrogance - speak to the only one who is actually superior to all; and who refuse to realise that they are less than nothing in comparison to Him.
In Islamic thought and indeed history; we know from the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and his family and righteous companions; that compassion and mercy, kindness, empathy and caring for others; even your enemy - are from the traits and qualities of the truly honourable people who are aware of God.
We have the famous anecdote of Imam Ali, the brother of the Prophet Muhammad, and the fourth Caliph of the Muslims, who when he was attacked by the terrorist Ibn Muljim al-Muradi on the prayer mat in the morning of the 19th of Ramadhan 661CE (40AH), ensured that the terrorist, once apprehended was not tortured or anything; and indeed Imam Ali saw him to be thirsty and instructed that he be given some milk so as to quench his thirst.
As a contrast to this, in history, we can see that Pharaoh had this affliction of self-love, of thinking that he is somehow greater than all others, of having no empathy with others. He considered himself to be the lord of ‘his people’; and the end of Pharaoh was a disastrous one. He is both hated in this world, and from the greatest losers in the next day. This is a truth that is accepted across all the Abrahamic ideologies, as well as in history.
So, this notion of self-love, of thinking that one is greater than another, this is the psychology of Satan, a Satanic psychology, that will over time destroy the one afflicted with this; but of course if the afflicted one was to recognise the error of their way, should such a person repent and genuinely turn to God, then as mentioned earlier, we know that God leaves His door open, and believes in one who is fearful (of what they have done) - as we will come to shortly.
This is a similar arrogance to when Satan declared that he was better than Adam, since he was created from fire and Adam was created from earth or clay.
But again, this is completely missing the entire point of both instructions. The instruction that was given by God to Satan was not as a means of suggesting - God forbid - that somehow Adam should be worshiped; rather it was the obedience to a command - an explicit command - of God; therefore, anyone who prostrated towards Adam at that time, was in fact not worshiping Adam, but were indeed obeying and worshiping God. This is extremely nuanced and needs reflecting on.
With regard to the child in Gaza who is being blown to smithereens or starved to death by the Zionists and their allies; while having placed his/her hope in God; this is very similar.
The child is secure; since whatever happens; whether the child lives or dies; the child is within the protection of God; if the child returns to God (i.e. is killed or rather martyred, since said child will be a witness on humanity), then the child is victorious; and if the child survives and is given food, or the bombs are unable to harm him; then the child is also saved.
But, and this is important, in both cases; the ones who are supporting (passively or actively) the starving, the ones who support the starving of, and who cannot even raise a prayer to God to help these people (not that God needs anyone to tell Him what to do; but said prayer is a reflection on the God awareness of the one asking (but again, that’s another rabbit hole and I won’t digress into that at this time); such people are arguably in the same position as Satan was on that day when he refused to abide by God’s commandment and bow down towards Adam, as instructed by God.
This is a very strong statement, indeed, but it is completely accurate. There are many more proofs for this; but for now I’ll not get into them; perhaps in a future discussion; they can be examined.
Also, when looking at the idea of disappointing or breaking the hope of one who has placed their hope in God; it is not for the observer to determine that the hope of said person has been dashed by God; but rather it is for the one who has placed their hope in God to determine if said hope has been dashed or protected.
An external observer, oblivious of God, might say that ‘well God shattered the dreams of that child’, or more likely they will say ‘the dreams of that child were shattered’; and in a superficial manner it might be argued that this is accurate; however; from the perspective of the child, and indeed from God’s perspective; He has protected that child - regardless of whether said child lives or is martyred - the child will immediately know this even before they are martyred, and He will always protect them.
To give an example from the recent (2023/2024 Genocide of Gaza by the Zionist Apartheid Terrorist regime) atrocities, there have been multiple accounts by children, trapped in rubble, that they felt no pressure of the rubble on them, and that ‘angels had come to play with them and comfort them’:
Angel protects Boy while stuck under Rubble
Now, granted, some might suggest this is highly anecdotal; and that extreme situations might make a person say such things; but the important point to note here is that this is a child; and it is less likely that a child will lie about such things; as they will generally narrate what they have experienced.
More so, the very fact that this child - who was trapped for multiple hours under the rubble of his home that had been bombed by the worst of the worst - and survived and is lucid and able to speak clearly; this itself is important and worthy of reflection.
Furthermore, this is but one example; there are countless on social media; and indeed even more that have not been uploaded or recorded so that they appear on social media. Social media makes up perhaps 1-2% of all these experiences and shows only 1-2% of the atrocities committed by the Zionist entity and its allies.
Indeed, to the believer; the one who’s heart is connected to God; such an account will only serve to increase their love of God; thereby ensuring that such a person will see with more clarity these lines from stanza #14.
After all Quran speaks of the believers:
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
The believers are those whose hearts tremble when God is mentioned, and when His revelations are recited to them, they strengthen them in faith, and upon their Lord they rely.
What is profound here; with regard to this verse, is that we can see, countless videos of when the people of Gaza are put in horrible situations; their immediate reaction is ‘sufficient is God for us, and upon Him we rely’, they always yield back to God, they accept their situation; and they know that God is always their support and that He is sufficient as a witness between the oppressed and the oppressor:
This is the faith of the Palestinians
Therefore; when looking at the first stanza we’re discussing in this post; stanza #14, we can see that it is a profound lesson; and without any doubt; in this discussion we have not even scratched the surface of this stanza, but, alas, the length of this document has already surpassed what I was hoping; and so we must proceed onto the next stanza. Perhaps at a later date, or in future discussions we can delve deeper into just these four lines that make up stanza #14.
Why praise and not instruct?
However, before we move onto the next stanza, an important point must be discussed briefly.
A very important point regarding the configuration of this supplication, and indeed all supplications.
This key important point is, that when we praise God who is something, the inference is not exclusively as a means of praising God; rather, since one of the goals of the human condition - according to Islamic thought (and indeed according to the thought of all of the Abrahamic religions) - they are also a means to teach us how we should actually be.
So, if we take stanza #14 that we have just been discussing; when we say:
All praise be to God whose screen (barrier) cannot be breached (penetrated, broken through),
Whose door is not locked (blocked),
Who never rejects the asker (beseecher),
And who never disappoints the one who places his hope in Him.
While undoubtedly, we are praising God who certainly has these qualities and acts in the manner described; however, in some cases, these are also instructions to us; that we should aspire to act also in this manner, such that while we should not leave ourselves exposed to be harmed by others who may wish us evil, and that we should operate with dignity and modesty, and have a ‘screen’ that cannot be breached or harmed by all and sundry.
At the same time, we must never close the door to discussion, to dialogue; even with those who seek to harm us. After all; if we go back to Islamic history, we can see that even on the barren plain of Karbala, on the afternoon of the 10th of Muharram 678CE (61AH), the day of Ashura, Imam Husayn, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, who had witnessed the wholesale massacre of his companions and family members by the despotic tyrant, Yazid ibn Muawiyyah’s, troops, he still spoke to the people ranked against him, and attempted to give them advise and bring them towards the Truth.
Elsewhere, we have the example of the Prophet Muhammad, when following the migration to Madinah, the Hijra, the believers attempted to go for pilgrimage to Makkah, but were blocked from doing so by the Makkans; the Prophet Muhammad didn’t turn around and say that there should be an all out war against the Makkans, quite the opposite, he chose to engage in a dialogue with them, and the outcome of that was the famous Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, which ensured there was no bloodshed then, and which sadly, was ultimately breached some time later by the Makkans, which resulted in the ultimate liberation of Makkah.
We also know that asking questions, is a means to learn. Of course, I don’t mean the questions that the hypocrites ask that are designed to trip up the speaker, and are designed as a means of misguidance. I mean genuine questions, where the questioner is asking to improve their understanding in a genuine manner.
As a result; the quality of God, wherein He always answers the questions of the questioner, the asker, the one who beseeches Him, this is both a quality of God, but it is also a way that we should aspire to be.
The entire study of how to ask questions, and indeed the reasoning behind asking a question; whether it is to seek a ‘loophole’ to avoid doing an activity or following a commandment, or whether it is a means to increase ones knowledge, understanding, connection with God and Truth; this is itself a deep discussion, and one that at this time is outside the scope of this post; God willing, we can discuss that in much greater depth in the future, with His permission.
It should also be noted, that of course; there are some instances where the praise is direct praise to God, and the instruction or lesson therein is somewhat more nuanced and subtle; so naturally care must be taken when understanding these subtleties.
The One who believes in, and is a supporter of the fearful, the frightened, the oppressed
Moving onto the second stanza (#15) that we will be discussing in this post.
In this stanza, the supplication is clearly speaking about our responsibilities by way of praising God for said activities that He performs, as well as giving us an important series of lessons on what our duties are within both ourselves, as well as within our societies and even at a larger geo-political, societal, economic and cultural level.
Stanza #15 reads:
All praise belongs to God, who believes in (is the supporter of) the fearful,
(Who) comes to the aid of the righteous,
(Who) promotes (raises and supports) the oppressed,
(Who) annihilates the arrogant (false/unjust leaders, kings, tyrants),
(Who) destroys (unjust/tyrannical/despotic) rulers,
and replaces them with others.
Over here, we see that when a person, or a society is genuinely fearful of tyranny, of injustice, of harm, and the fearful are from the righteous (or one might argue innocent folk), who are being subjected to harm and punishment for reasons that are fundamentally unjust.
A number of examples come to mind of this - from the geo-political arena - when discussing this stanza.
Firstly; we can see that the global hegemon, the ‘empire’, which is generally in this age made up of the globalist ‘elites’ that run the collective West regimes, with the US regime being at the top of this Satanic pyramid of terror; we can see how they terrorise people; while at the same time professing that they are ‘peacemakers’.
A recent example is how they leveraged the genuine uprising of the people of the Arab world in what was dubbed the ‘Arab Spring’ (or Islamic Awakening in other circles), and attempted to overthrow the genuinely popular government of President Bashar al-Asad in Syria starting in around 2011; and indeed continuing to this day.
This was done by way of the manufacturing of a terrorist organisation by the US and its allies in the form of DAESH (also known as ISIS or ISIL), which had characteristics that were alien to Islam, but were completely aligned with the globalist terrorist projects.
In this project; the people of Syria, were being butchered, their heritage and historic monuments were destroyed; families were torn apart; a dark and despotic ruling order was enacted in certain parts that was given the name of some corrupt bastardisation of 'Islamic law’. What DAESH enacted in the places they occupied for their Western Globalist masters was alien to Islam; this has been proven multiple times.
But, for the more skeptical amongst the readers, we can then look at the situation in Ukraine, when in 2014 there was the now infamous ‘cookies and cream’ Maidan coup that was forced on the people of Ukraine by the likes of Victoria Nuland and the US regime (along with its collective West vassals).
The excellent journalist Kit Klarenberg writes in his article titled ‘Anatomy of a Coup: How CIA Front Laid Foundations for Ukraine War’ in great detail about how the US regime (along with its willing vassals) ensured that the coup in Ukraine happened, and that they then worked to ensure that the new regime in Ukraine worked to suppress the Russian people in the East of Ukraine (the area known as the Donbass).
Of course, the article cited above is from 2015, we are now in 2024, and for the last two years there has been a special military operation in Ukraine against the oppression and genocide being carried out against the people of Russian origin by the Western back regime in Ukraine, a regime that is run by a Zionist, with Nazi stormtroopers, funded by billions, if not trillions of dollars of collective West taxpayers.
For the most part, innocent taxpayers who themselves because of the irresponsible behaviour of their despotic and corrupt rulers find themselves undergoing a great de-industrialisation, and suffer from an exponentially rising cost of living crisis.
Much more can be said on the Ukraine debacle; and indeed much has, but I’ll not be delving into that at this point; but it does provide an important basis for our discussion, hence my mentioning of it.
Another example; that too, is ongoing as I write, is that of the people of Palestine (of course there are others, such as Sudan, Kashmir, etc. and perhaps they will be covered in the future in dedicated pieces). We can see that the people of Palestine are being genocided, ethnically cleansed, and the collective West leadership, the so-called ‘civilised’ world provides cover and support for this genocide. All the while professing that they are ‘peacemakers’ and that the terrorist apartheid zionist regime occupying Palestine is but ‘defending itself’.
The Quran speaks about such people, quite eloquently:
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ
And when it is said to them, “Do not make trouble (corruption) on the Earth,” they say, “We are only peacemakers (reformers).”
Of course, we could go down the rabbit hole of discussing such people; and how they have reached such a stage, where in some cases, perhaps they actually do believe that they are ‘peacemakers’ or ‘reformers’ or that they are ‘helping’, but again that would lengthen this document hugely; so we will cover it in a brief manner.
In reality they are supporting (so perhaps they are ‘helping’) a disgusting tyranny, a genocide, a holocaust even, of an innocent people, that has been perpetrated by the Zionist regime under the protection of the collective West, primarily the British (who orchestrated the entire injustice), and the Americans who provide military support, and the Europeans who are simply the useful idiots who will do whatever Washington tells them; but I’m not going to delve further into that.
This is very well documented, and if further discourse is required; then perhaps we can go into it.
Suffice it to say; that at the very least, the examples I have given above, are those of people who are fearful, who are oppressed, who are terrorised by others, for no reason except that they are different, or for the reason of territory, of greed by the terrorisers; but suffice it to say; no reason can justify this tyranny against the people - be they the people of the Donbass, or of Palestine, or indeed that of the people and government of Syria who are under horrific pressure by the collective West (but again, more detail and discussion into this would make this already extremely long post, even longer).
At this point, we see the supplication says:
All praise belongs to God, who believes in (is the supporter of) the fearful,
We can see in each of these scenarios; we have seen that there is a group of people that - one way or another - come to the aid of the oppressed.
The governments of the Russian Federation led by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, may God protect him, and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali al-Khamenei, may God protect him.
These two governments, at great cost to themselves, stood and stand firm against the tyranny; and came to the and continue to aid of the oppressed; be they in Syria, in the Donbass region, and in Palestine.
More so, with Palestine, we also see the honourable people of Yemen, themselves the victims of huge genocidal terror by the Arab Zionists and collective West vassal regimes of the Arabian Peninsula, be they the oil field with a flag known as ‘Saudi Arabia’ or the shopping mall with a flag, known as the ‘United Arab Emirates’.
The people of Yemen, who announce themselves as ‘Ansar Allah’, the Helpers of God, immediately came to the aid of Palestine, and are in the process of enforcing a completely legal, justified and valid blockade of the Zionist regime’s ports until they cease their genocidal campaign against the people of Palestine.
We saw that in February of 2022, President Putin, after having exhausted every aspect of diplomacy, after having done everything to speak, to have dialogue and discussion with the regimes of the collective West, and getting nothing but more and more veiled threats, including at the 2022 Munich Security Conference talk of the Ukrainian Western installed president Mr Zelensky at acquiring nuclear weapons (alternative link if the primary is not available in your locale due to European ‘free speech’), something which had been said almost a year earlier in April 2021 by Kiev’s ambassador to Germany by way of a threat if Ukraine was not admitted into the terrorist club known as NATO, we saw that the Russian Federation was left with no choice but to launch its special military operation, and come to the aid of the oppressed people in the Donbass.
Now on this note, it is important to understand and clarify a few points that sometimes get lost on people.
So, as mentioned earlier; these type of stanzas in any supplication, they are not just benign messages, operating in a fatalistic manner, where the supplicant will say “I praise God who believes in the fearful” and thats it.
Far from it, rather; while we have certainty that God believes in the fearful; He is also educating us; that in order to be His true servants; those who aspire to move towards His perfection; we too have to be from those who believe in the fearful.
Of course, that doesn’t mean we act in a naïve manner and believe in anyone who suggests they are fearful - if that was the case; given how much the Zionists declare they are the victims; we would be misguided into believing and supporting them and their evil cause. Rather; we must have that insight; that wisdom; that ability to discern truth from falsehood; to understand the liar and understand the truthful.
In the case of the oppressed peoples of Donbass and Palestine; we can see that the free world came to their aid; Russia in the case of the Donbass, and Russia has paid a heavy price for this.
At the time of writing - March 22, 2024 - a massive terrorist attack has taken place on a shopping centre and concert hall in the Russian capital Moscow; the latest figures are that more than 40 people have been martyred (and yes, martyred, I use that term deliberately; because they are indeed witnesses on the cruelty of the evil satanic forces of the collective West and their allies; and more than 100 have been injured.
Before we proceed; we pray that God bless the martyrs; and that He grant patience, fortitude and wisdom to their families and loved ones and also that He grant a swift and complete recovery to those injured; and that He protect the people and the government (inc. the military and others) of the Russian Federation; that He grant them patience, wisdom, fortitude, insight and strength in dealing with the despotic tyrants. Amen, O Lord Sustainer of the Universes.
Russia has paid a heavy price for its defence of the defenceless in Donbass; and indeed also in Syria against the - once again - US and Zionist backed, controlled, sponsored terrorists known as DAESH (aka ISIS or ISIL).
The Islamic Republic of Iran also, has done similar work; it has fought for its own survival, it has defeated some of the worst terror attacks on its soil and against its people; it has defended itself and now - with God’s infinite assistance - has made huge progress in rendering the ‘maximum pressure’ sanctions impotent, and also came to the aid of Syria when it was beset by the US/Zionist controlled terrorists known as DAESH who sought destroy Syria and provide more support, strategic depth and protection to the Zionist entity and its ‘Arab’ vassals against those who stand for the rights of the oppressed and downtrodden; and who - for want of a better phrase - are doing God’s work on the Earth - and are without any doubt the people of God, be they His party, or His helpers.
This is the personification of this stanza that we see right in front of us, of course this is the understanding from the geo-political perspective.
We can look at the movement of multipolarity as another means to enliven this stanza - and indeed these series of stanzas - from from the geo-economic, cultural and societal perspectives; but I’m not going to dwell further on this as the point can be discussed by the readers themselves; and in other fora with far wiser people than myself.
But this supplication; and its stanzas are not only meant to be understood on the temporal, geo-political, economic, societal and such perspectives; they also have a strong spiritual component that must be understood; and that too can be understood in a similar way.
When a person; is aware of their crimes against themselves; for example they have lied, they have chosen to usurp the property of another (even if that is by way of charging interest, or profiteering - though that is much greater and deeper rabbit-hole with discussion points across all the many arenas - but for now lets try to keep it simple), when someone has upset another; looked down at another; looked down at themselves; despaired regarding God’s infinite mercy; or any of the plethora of sins and crimes against ones self that sadly people commit.
Such a person is then also in a state - with respect to God; the Ultimate Arbiter, the Ultimate Authority, the Creator, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassion - of great fear.
Just like a child who has done something they should not have, and they then want to speak to their parent, there is a fear in the child, that ‘I will be scolded’, maybe my parent will not want to talk to me - perhaps they will be so disgusted at what I have done, they will turn away from me.
Such a fear exists in everyone regarding God, because everyone who is cognisant of themselves and accounts for themselves, as a wise person should always do, said person will be very scared; and over here in this stanza, God is clearly saying that ‘I (God), am the one who believes in the fearful’ - meaning, I know when the one who is genuinely fearful, fears me, and I come to his aid.
This is important; and we must learn to take these supplications; to take all the many sonnets, prayers, pslams, ballads even (in the form of whispered prayers or munajaat, as an example), and even when we speak to God directly ourselves in our own - even quirky - ways; that God is always with you; He believes you (after all He knows you better than yourself, so there is literally no point in attempting to lie or deceive Him, not only will it be a totally failed approach; rather God “has the receipts” for our crimes that even we have forgotten about but have yet to take responsibility and ask forgiveness for.
He says clearly; that - if you are sincere (and sincerity is a key component - as was elucidated in the previous stanza when discussing God’s proverbial ‘door’ being always unlocked, even though He is behind an impenetrable barrier) - then know that He will and does believe in you; that He will protect you from the tyrants in a manner that He knows to be best and indeed most beneficial to you.
Moving on; and remember, we need to reflect on these points from multiple perspectives; from the individual, our own; from our families, our societies - which might be our neighbours, our wider village, town, city, county or even country, and then also from the global perspective; and none of these are disconnected from each other.
A person who has a tendency to do harm to themselves - they lie constantly, they have narcissistic traits, they exhibit self love, they look down on others, they consider themselves greater than others because of race, wealth, bodily characteristics and so on; such a person will as they move through the ranks of a society towards being in their neighbourhood, village, town, city, county, country and so on; they will continue to carry these traits and said traits will only get worse and more embedded in the person.
Of course; if a person at an early stage realises that this is a problem; or said person has true friends who explain to him/her that they have this problem; and then work to help remedy them; then of course - this is where we have complete certainty that God will come to their aid and help them to improve themselves; this is something accepted in all the Abrahamic faiths and is well known.
However, if a person is surrounded by sycophants; who simply say yes to him/her all the time; then said person will find themselves in a horrible situation; as they move up the ranks of society; from a lowly individual, to the leader of a country and so on; you will find that such a person will be the worst of leaders.
They might be able to, at a superficial level, fool the people some of the time - at least as a possible means to get them ‘elected’ (though the fairness and freeness of elections in - especially the collective West is another extremely deep rabbit-hole that I really cannot go into here at this time - as this post has already become far far longer than I had initially anticipated) - but once in power; they will do the most horrific things; they will usurp the rights of the people; shed the blood of people; attempt to destroy anyone who stands against them and much more besides.
We see this in the various regimes of the collective West today; and what is key about the regimes of the collective West; there has been a clear move away from God, a move away from self-reflection, from introspection; and indeed the movement towards the the culture of the ‘self’; where people do all manner of ridiculous things for the sake of a ‘like’ or ‘followers’ - well this is leading to the self-destruction of society in the collective West.
That is not to say there are no good people in the collective West; far from that; there are many, many good, honourable people; and the time is now for such people to come together.
In recent times in the UK, we saw that when a single person, Mr George Galloway, now an MP in the British Parliament, stood for election in the small northern town of Rochdale, he stood on a banner of honour, of helping the people of the town - but also standing against the genocidal tendencies of the regime in Westminster. He placed his trust in God; he did his activity and work as best as he could; and left the result to God.
He won with a resounding victory; decimating both the ‘ruling’ (and highly unelected) Conservative Party as well as the genocide supporting ‘opposition’ ‘Labour’ party.
This segues neatly to the last line of the final stanza we are discussing:
(Who) destroys (unjust/tyrannical/despotic) rulers,
and replaces them with others.
Where we saw that God - as a lesson to the despots - overthrew the corrupt, tyrannical Labour party, and replaced them with others. It is important to note that the supplication does not say that God replaces the tyrannical rulers with just rulers; that remains to be seen, since a just ruler is only understood over time and by his/her actions; but the key point is that God removes - in many different ways - the despotic rulers and replaces them with others.
The test is then on the new rulers (and of course their subjects) to operate in a righteous manner; because if they too become despotic and tyrannical; then be certain that God will also remove them; since the cycle is continuous, in fact it is a not even a cycle but a constant; since God operates outside of time and space - but I’m certainly not going delve further into that because that is a very deep, albeit very interesting and profound rabbit hole.
We can also understand this from the personal, spiritual perspective; where when we are working against ourselves, when we are arrogant, engaged in self-love, engage in cruelty and crimes against others and ourselves, when we considers ourselves superior and so on, should we genuinely reform ourselves - as explained earlier; we can be certain that God will remove - of course with effort on our parts, naturally - that corrupt mindset, that damaged world-view, that has taken hold of us and drives us away from decency and humanity.
He will help us over to overcome such a demonic grip; but, it is then for us to maintain our decency; to ensure that we do not lapse into sin once more; as it is on the spiritual and person, so it is on the geo-political and across all spheres of the human experience.
So, to conclude this post; and again I do apologies for the length of this post; I had wanted to cover more stanzas herein; but just covering two at this time due to the length and depth of the discussion.
All that has been scribed here that is useful and has value is from guidance given by God, and all the mistakes are mine.
